Interviewers
Trained Forensic Interviewers meet with alleged victims in the BTCAC's safe and comfortable interviewing room arranged for video monitoring, to obtain accurate and reliable information.

Law enforcement
The role of the Bannock County Sheriffs Department, Pocatello Police Department, and Chubbuck Police Department is to investigate possible crimes for criminal prosecution. Investigators focus on getting the facts and gathering evidence for the District Attorney, who decides whether a case will be presented to the Grand Jury.

Child Protective Services (Department of Health and Welfare)
The main job of child protective services is to investigate "in-home" alleged cases of child sexual abuse. This information that is obtained in the investigation is used to make the best decision regarding the welfare of the child.

Mental health
Counseling is an important part of the team approach. The involvement of a mental health professional with the team enhances the overall investigation by providing interpretation of psychological information and treatment recommendations. Abused children and their families often need crisis intervention therapy, as well as long-term treatment to deal with their feelings about the abuse.

Medical
The community has a 24/7 response to victims of sexual abuse and assault in coordination with Portneuf Regional Medical Center and the Pocatello Children and Adolescent Clinic. Forensic medical evaluations are performed by a forensic doctor uniquely trained in the evaluation of children and adolescents.
