Text Box: We have had a year filled with exciting changes and growth.  This year we have found our place in “working together for our children” in Southeastern Idaho.

We received a Development Grant from National Children’s Alliance in January 2005 which allowed us to pursue becoming a Child Advocacy Center serving Southeastern Idaho.  Our sole purpose continues to be helping children and their families heal from the trauma of abuse, assisting them to live happier lives. An Advocacy Center will open the door for Bright Tomorrows to help children and families from the beginning of their crisis in the investigative stage continuing on through healing and resolution.  The investigative process is often overwhelming to a child and their family, subsequently, Bright Tomorrows now as a Child Advocacy Center brings a child friendly, non-threatening environment to this process.

While the Executive Director and staff diligently worked to establish our Child Advocacy Center we continue to offer our longstanding and well established counseling and supportive services to child victims and their families, amazingly increasing the number of individuals we served this year.  We provided direct client services to 152 individuals providing 1,772 hours of counseling. We helped these individuals and families to re-establish trust, set new boundaries, open lines of communication, find healing, and begin a “brighter tomorrow.”

We are excited to see what the coming year brings as Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Center becomes fully established, reaches more hurting children and families and provides help and healing to meet the needs of the community.
